a) Celator Errors (Die Maker Errors)

It was recently brought to my attention that there are other die maker errors all involving the Perellos Grano, which I did not mention in my recent post.

1. Perellos 1703 Grano with the date on both sides of the coin. Only one of this variety is known in the NMM. GATT 21-1G-02X05

ree

2. Perellos 1709 Grano with the date 1907. This error obverse R35 is seen combined with two reverses: - GATT 21-1G-35X25 & GATT 21-1G-35X29

ree

3. Perellos 1715 seen with the number 7 in the date reversed. The obverses R72 seen combined to two reverses: - GATT 21-1G-72X76 & GATT 21-1G-72X77.

ree

4. Perellos 1718 also seen with the number 7 in the date reversed. Two obverse R81 & R82. The obverse R81 seen combined to two reverses: - GATT 21-1G-81X80 & GATT 21-1G-81X83.

ree

While obverse R82 is only seen with one reverse: - GATT 21-1G-82X83

I’m sure there are many more of these types of errors to be found. All that needs to be done is for collectors to look at their collections ...
